A thriving 11–18 secondary school in Staffordshire, rated Good by Ofsted, is seeking an engaging and ambitious Teacher of English to join its successful English faculty from January 2026.
About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent post teaching English across Key Stages 3–5. The English department is a cornerstone of the school’s academic success, with students consistently achieving strong results at GCSE and A-Level. Teachers are supported through collaborative planning, clear assessment structures and a strong culture of professional trust.
The curriculum balances classic and contemporary texts, encouraging critical thinking, creativity and confident communication. Literature is celebrated across the school through debate competitions, author visits and theatre partnerships.
