Music Teacher – Independent School – Cambridge
A highly-regarded Independent School in Cambridge is seeking an inspiring and musically fluent Music Teacher to join their Performing Arts Faculty immediately. Music is a visible, celebrated part of the cultural identity of this school — not an afterthought or token enrichment activity.
About the Role
You will teach Music across KS3–KS5, working with students who are confident, motivated, and accustomed to high expectations. The department maintains a rich programme of ensembles, chamber groups, jazz bands, orchestral rehearsals, choral groups, contemporary performance workshops, and termly concerts.
You will also have the opportunity to:
Conduct ensembles or choirs
Support concert planning and performance direction
Coach students for music scholarship pathways
Contribute to the development of composition and recording projects
Support pupils applying to conservatoires and university Music programmes
This is music education at depth and seriousness, not surface-level delivery.
