An innovative Southwark primary is recruiting an inspiring Year 3 Teacher to join Lower Key Stage 2 from January 2026. The Year 3 Teacher will be part of a collaborative phase, will attend planning sessions before January 2026, join induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026. We’re looking for a Year 3 Teacher who will design memorable sequences in reading, mathematics and science and will build confident, resilient learners.

Year 3 Teacher Responsibilities
The Year 3 Teacher will: plan and deliver sequenced English and mathematics units as the Year 3 Teacher; lead practical enquiry in science and creative foundation topics as the Year 3 Teacher; run targeted interventions and report progress as the Year 3 Teacher. The Year 3 Teacher will prepare moderation materials and support transition activities beginning after January 2026.

Year 3 Teacher Requirements
We seek a Year 3 Teacher with QTS/PGCE or equivalent, secure KS2 practice and effective behaviour strategies. The Year 3 Teacher must be available for pre-term planning prior to January 2026, for induction in January 2026, and to begin teaching from January 2026. The ideal Year 3 Teacher is collaborative, reflective and focused on measurable pupil progress.
