This large, high-performing academy in Manchester was rated Outstanding in its most recent inspection. The school maintains high standards of safety and functionality across its premises and seeks a proactive Site Manager to join its operational team. The successful candidate ensures the buildings and grounds are safe, welcoming, and conducive to learning.

Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope

  • Operational Leadership: Supervision of premises staff, delegating daily maintenance tasks, and managing external contractors.
  • Compliance & Safety: Full responsibility for site security, fire safety protocols, and ensuring the site meets all statutory H&S requirements.
  • Facilities Management: Managing planned and reactive maintenance schedules, coordinating repairs, and overseeing facility readiness for internal and external events.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Essential Requirements: Proven managerial experience in premises or facilities management and strong knowledge of building systems and H&S regulations.
  • Salary: Highly competitive salary, commensurate with experience (ranging from £35,000 – £41,000 Annually).
  • Support: Generous Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and budget allocation for professional development.
