A welcoming and inclusive 11–18 school in Belper is looking for a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join its SEND department from January 2026.

The Role
You’ll work closely with teachers and the SENCo to support students with a range of learning needs. This role involves both one-to-one and small-group interventions, helping young people to achieve academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support for students with additional learning needs
• Implement EHCP and classroom strategies in collaboration with staff
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive relationships
• Contribute to progress tracking and communication with parents/carers

About You

• Previous experience supporting students with SEND is desirable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Empathy, patience and adaptability in supporting diverse needs
• Team player committed to inclusion and student success
