A well-regarded secondary school in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a proactive and practical Design & Technology Technician to support the DT department from an immediate start.

About the Role

You will assist in preparing and maintaining workshop spaces across areas such as:

• Product Design

• Resistant Materials

• Engineering

• Graphics & CAD

Facilities include:

• 3D printers

• Laser cutters

• CNC equipment

• Traditional workshop machinery

Your work will ensure DT lessons are delivered safely, efficiently, and with high-quality learning resources available.

Key duties:

• Preparing wood, plastics, and materials for student projects

• Maintaining equipment and conducting basic repairs

• Assisting with CAD/CAM files and digital resources

• Supporting teachers during practical demonstrations

• Monitoring and replenishing stock
