We are looking for a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a thriving Surrey primary from January 2026. This Full-Time Year 1 Teacher role offers creative freedom within a structured, supportive environment - the Year 1 Teacher will be expected to plan before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026.

A classroom vision - Year 1 Teacher
The Year 1 Teacher creates a classroom of confident readers and inquisitive mathematicians. Through systematic phonics, carefully modelled writing and practical maths, the Year 1 Teacher secures essential learning. The Year 1 Teacher will celebrate progress through evidence-rich assessment and by sharing successes with families after January 2026.

Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities
• Deliver daily phonics, guided reading and sequenced writing as the Year 1 Teacher.
• Plan hands-on maths and intervention groups as the Year 1 Teacher.
• Work with support staff and parents to personalise learning as the Year 1 Teacher.
• Prepare curriculum and assessment materials in advance of January 2026 and teach from January 2026.

Year 1 Teacher Requirements
We seek a Year 1 Teacher with QTS/PGCE (or equivalent), strong KS1 experience and the ability to foster independence. Availability for pre-term planning before January 2026, induction in January 2026, and to begin teaching from January 2026 is required.
