Are you a passionate Science ECT looking to inspire curiosity and achievement in your students?
A well-respected Good secondary school in Portsmouth is seeking a Science ECT to join their department from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for a teacher specialising in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.

School Information
This mixed secondary school has a reputation for nurturing new teachers and providing an excellent ECT induction programme. The Science department is well-equipped with modern laboratories, interactive resources, and a strong team ethos.

The successful candidate will benefit from a reduced timetable during their ECT year and will receive structured support from both their subject mentor and the wider teaching staff.

Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in a Science discipline
• PGCE/QTS or equivalent
• Ability to teach engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics
• Commitment to professional growth and reflective practice

Salary
Paid to scale (M1–M2) on a direct school contract.
