An ambitious Manchester pupil referral unit is recruiting a skilled KS2 Teacher to join its specialist provision from January 2026. The KS2 Teacher will be central to delivering adaptive KS2 curriculum, mentoring pupils with complex needs and creating calm, restorative classrooms. The KS2 Teacher will attend pre-term planning prior to January 2026, complete induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026.

The role - KS2 Teacher
As KS2 Teacher, you will plan concise, achievable learning modules as the KS2 Teacher; deliver numeracy and literacy lessons that prioritise confidence and core skills as the KS2 Teacher; and provide therapeutic, relationship-based support as the KS2 Teacher. The KS2 Teacher will draft reintegration reports and take part in multi-agency planning to secure the best outcomes for each pupil from the moment you start in January 2026.

KS2 Teacher Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver short, sequenced KS2 lessons with clear scaffolds as the KS2 Teacher.
• Implement and monitor behaviour support plans and restorative practice as the KS2 Teacher.
• Liaise with mainstream partners, families and external agencies and prepare transition documentation as the KS2 Teacher. The KS2 Teacher will be engaged in review meetings from January 2026 onward.

KS2 Teacher Requirements
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced KS2 Teacher with QTS (or equivalent), proven classroom leadership in challenging contexts and a calm, relational approach. The KS2 Teacher should be ready to plan before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026.
