Maths Teacher – Essex

A high-achieving secondary school in Essex is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Maths ECT to join its thriving department from January 2026. The Role
You will teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to develop into Key Stage 5 teaching as your career progresses. You’ll be part of a highly supportive team that values collaboration and professional development.

The Department
The Maths department is well-resourced with interactive technology, modern classrooms, and dynamic teaching resources. The team works cohesively to promote problem-solving and critical thinking, consistently achieving outstanding results.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons.
  • Support pupils in achieving and exceeding their targets.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and assessment.
  • Participate in extracurricular Maths clubs or competitions.
  • Promote numeracy across the wider school community.

About You

  • Maths graduate with QTS (or in training).
  • Passionate about inspiring mathematical curiosity.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Collaborative, reflective, and eager to develop.
