Science Technician – Reading
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic Science Technician to join an Outstanding secondary school in Reading, starting January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for someone passionate about supporting teaching and learning within a vibrant Science department.
The Role
As a Science Technician, you will:
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, materials, and solutions for practical lessons.
- Support teachers in delivering engaging science experiments across KS3–KS5.
- Ensure health and safety standards are upheld in all practical activities.
- Manage inventory, order resources, and maintain accurate stock records.
- Assist in demonstrations and set up displays to enrich the learning environment.

Candidate Requirements
