Design & Technology Teacher – Bedford – Independent School

An innovative Independent School in Bedford is looking to appoint a skilled Design & Technology Teacher for a January start.

You will teach a stimulating curriculum covering Product Design, Engineering and Graphics from KS3 through KS5. The role combines hands-on creativity with academic rigour.

School Information:
The DT department benefits from fully modernised workshops, CAD software, 3D printers, and laser cutting facilities. The school emphasises design thinking and real-world application, linking classroom learning with industry and university partnerships.

Small classes allow teachers to provide targeted feedback and nurture talent. Staff enjoy a professional yet relaxed atmosphere where initiative and collaboration are valued.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • QTS or Independent sector experience

  • Degree in DT, Engineering or Product Design

  • Strong CAD/CAM knowledge an advantage

Salary: Competitive Independent School scale.
