Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities
The Year 1 Teacher will deliver systematic phonics, guided reading and sequenced writing units as the Year 1 Teacher. The Year 1 Teacher will design practical mathematics lessons, run targeted interventions and maintain accurate assessment records. The Year 1 Teacher will communicate with parents, lead curriculum workshops and support transition arrangements starting before January 2026 and continuing after January 2026. The Year 1 Teacher will be expected to contribute to enrichment activities, lead small-group tuition and help coordinate themed weeks and whole-school events.
Year 1 Teacher Requirements
We are looking for a Year 1 Teacher with QTS (or equivalent), strong KS1 practice and confident phonics delivery. The Year 1 Teacher must be reflective, organised and ready to plan before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as the Year 1 Teacher. Experience with assessment for learning, curriculum design and parental engagement is highly desirable for the Year 1 Teacher.
