This ‘Outstanding’ school educates approximately 1,200 students aged 11–18 and is well-regarded across Birmingham for its modern facilities, inclusive ethos, and strong academic performance. The Design & Technology department boasts specialist workshops, CAD software, 3D printers, and modern tools that encourage creativity and innovation.

The DT Technician will provide practical and technical support to staff and students, ensuring safe and efficient use of tools, materials, and machinery.

Experience and Qualifications

Experience as a DT Technician or in a similar workshop-based role

Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures

Good communication and teamwork skills

A relevant technical or engineering qualification is desirable

Salary

The salary for this DT Technician role will be paid according to experience on the school’s support staff scale.
