Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Head of Geography to join their thriving Humanities Faculty from January. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, dedicated, and inspiring Geography specialist to lead a high-performing department.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, drive innovation in teaching and learning, and foster a culture of academic excellence. You will teach Geography across KS3 to KS5, nurturing students’ curiosity about the world while supporting the professional growth of colleagues within the department.

Head of Geography – Experience and Qualifications
- A degree in Geography or a closely related discipline.
- A formal teaching qualification with QTS (e.g., PGCE).
- Proven experience of teaching Geography across KS3–KS5.
- Demonstrable leadership experience, either as a Head of Department or aspiring middle leader.
- A track record of raising standards and delivering excellent outcomes for students.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to curriculum innovation, enrichment, and departmental development.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
