RE Teacher – Derby – January 2026
A large and inclusive 11–18 comprehensive school in Derby is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Religious Education to join its Humanities faculty from January 2026.
This Good Ofsted-rated school has a strong pastoral ethos and is well-regarded for its positive learning environment and commitment to moral and cultural education. Religious Education is taught as a core subject through KS3–KS4, with a thriving GCSE group and a small but successful A-Level cohort.
The Role
You’ll teach RE across KS3–KS5, helping students explore questions of philosophy, ethics and faith with balance and depth. The department fosters open-minded discussion and critical thinking, and staff work collaboratively to refine lessons and assessments.

About You
- QTS or equivalent qualification in RE, Philosophy or Humanities.
