An ambitious Nottingham primary is recruiting an experienced Year 6 Teacher to lead upper KS2 on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Year 6 Teacher will take part in planning prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as the Year 6 Teacher. This Full-Time Year 6 Teacher role is suited to someone who can combine strong classroom leadership with excellent pastoral care during transition to secondary school.

Role overview — Year 6 Teacher
The Year 6 Teacher will design and deliver rigorous revision and curriculum units in maths and English as the Year 6 Teacher, lead targeted booster programmes as the Year 6 Teacher, and co-ordinate transition activities with secondary partners as the Year 6 Teacher. The Year 6 Teacher will analyse assessment data, present progress to parents and lead moderation sessions, preparing materials before January 2026 and implementing them from January 2026.
Candidate essentials — Year 6 Teacher
We require a Year 6 Teacher with QTS, a strong track record in Upper KS2 and the ability to manage SATs preparation and pastoral transition. The Year 6 Teacher must be available for pre-term planning prior to January 2026, induction in January 2026, and to teach from January 2026 as the Full-Time Year 6 Teacher.
