French ECT - Supportive Secondary School in York

Our Client is looking for a French ECT to work within a thriving mixed secondary school in York. The successful French ECT will teach KS3 & KS4.

School Information

  • Over-subscribed school with engaged and motivated students
  • Good mixed school with strong modern foreign language provision

This 11–18 school has around 1,100 pupils and is known for its academic ambition and supportive community. In 2024, 93% achieved grades 9–4 at GCSE, with French among the strongest performing subjects.

ECTs are supported by weekly professional learning sessions, one-to-one coaching, and reduced teaching timetables in their first term. Teachers describe the school as nurturing and development-focused, making it an excellent environment for early career professionals.

Experience and Qualifications
• French ECT with the ability to teach KS3 & KS4
• A formal teaching qualification with QTS (i.e. PGCE)
• Legal right to work in the UK
