Year 6 Teacher — Southwark
An ambitious state primary in Southwark is seeking an experienced and inspiring Year 6 Teacher to join its upper KS2 phase on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Year 6 Teacher will be involved in pre-term planning prior to January 2026, will attend induction in January 2026, and will teach from January 2026 as a school’s Year 6 Teacher. This Full-Time Year 6 Teacher post offers strong leadership support, excellent resources and the chance to make a measurable impact on pupils’ transition to secondary school beginning in January 2026.

(Year 6 Teacher) Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver ambitious English and maths sequences as the Year 6 Teacher, with a clear focus on reasoning, comprehension and independent writing.
• Lead targeted booster groups and run SATs preparation where appropriate as the Year 6 Teacher.
• Coordinate transition meetings with secondary partners and lead parent information evenings as the Year 6 Teacher. The Year 6 Teacher will join planning sessions before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026 and teach from January 2026.
(Year 6 Teacher) Requirements
• QTS and proven Upper KS2 experience required of the Year 6 Teacher.
• Strong behaviour management, excellent communication and the ability to use assessment data as the Year 6 Teacher.
• Available for pre-term planning and induction ahead of January 2026, and ready to take up the Full-Time Year 6 Teacher role in January 2026.
