History Teacher – Nottinghamshire – January 2026
A well-established 11–18 secondary school in Nottinghamshire is looking to appoint a passionate Teacher of History to join its Humanities department from January 2026.
The Role
You’ll teach History across KS3–KS5, delivering lessons that combine knowledge-rich content with engaging discussion and source work. Students enjoy studying diverse topics, from medieval England to twentieth-century global history, with strong results achieved at both GCSE and A-Level.
The Department
You’ll join a stable, supportive team with a track record of collaboration and consistency. The department uses well-sequenced schemes of work, frequent retrieval practice, and shared assessments to ensure coherence across classes.
Trips and enrichment include visits to museums, archives and local historical sites, realistic, well-run and popular with pupils.
The School

What You’ll Bring
