Our Client is looking for an English ECT to work within a school in Durham. The successful English ECT will teach at KS3 and KS4. The department is collaborative, with a strong mentoring structure for early-career teachers.

School Information:
This is a respected secondary school with around 850 pupils and an excellent reputation for pastoral care and academic progress. In 2024, 94% of students achieved grades 9–4 at GCSE, with English achieving 92%. The school promotes a love of literature and writing through dedicated English weeks, author visits and reading clubs.

ECTs here benefit from a nurturing environment with clear guidance and feedback. The leadership team provides reduced timetables, professional coaching and ongoing CPD. Teachers describe the environment as welcoming, encouraging and purpose-driven — an ideal place to begin a teaching career.

Experience and Qualifications
• English ECT with the ability to teach at KS3 and KS4
• A formal teaching qualification with QTS (i.e. PGCE)
• Legal ability to work within the UK
