Science Teacher – High-Achieving School in Oxford

About the School
A high-achieving and academically ambitious 11–18 secondary school in Oxford is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their outstanding Science Department from January 2026. The school has 1,450 pupils on roll, including a Sixth Form of 320, and consistently ranks among the top 10% nationally for progress and attainment. With a Progress 8 score of +0.61 and a strong track record of students progressing to Russell Group universities, it provides an intellectually stimulating environment for both staff and students.

About the Role
This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to teach Science across KS3–KS5, specialising in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics according to expertise. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic department that values experimentation, curiosity, and scientific literacy. You will design and deliver engaging lessons that foster analytical thinking, teamwork, and a love of discovery.

The Science Faculty occupies a modern building with nine fully equipped laboratories, two preparation rooms, and access to digital data-loggers and simulation software. Teachers are supported by experienced lab technicians and benefit from weekly collaborative planning sessions.

Experience and Qualifications
• QTS/PGCE and degree in a Science discipline
