About the Role
This full-time, permanent post offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career teacher to begin their professional journey in a supportive, high-achieving environment. The appointed teacher will deliver Science across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to specialise in either Biology, Chemistry, or Physics at KS5 under the guidance of experienced mentors. You will work with a collaborative team of teachers who share best practices and support professional growth through co-planning, peer observation, and ongoing feedback.
As an ECT, you will be fully supported through a two-year induction programme that includes one-to-one mentoring, reduced timetable allocation, and regular CPD sessions focused on classroom management, assessment, and subject mastery. The school’s emphasis on reflective practice ensures that new teachers feel confident, valued, and equipped to deliver outstanding lessons from day one.
Candidate Requirements
• PGCE with QTS (or pending) in a Science discipline
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for practical, hands-on teaching
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to continuous professional learning and self-development
