The Role – What You’ll Do
Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across KS3–KS5, tailored to a range of abilities.
Promote fitness, teamwork, and healthy competition through both curriculum and extracurricular activities.
Lead or support school sports teams, fixtures, and events (lunchtime, after-school, or weekend commitments as required).
Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources.
Maintain high expectations for effort, behaviour, and sportsmanship in all activities.
Take an active role in the wider school community through pastoral duties, trips, and co-curricular engagement.
Person Specification
Essential
Degree in Physical Education or a related discipline.
QTS/PGCE (or equivalent) with the ability to teach PE across KS3–KS5.
Strong communication skills and a passion for inspiring physical activity and wellbeing.
Ability to coach and lead at least one major school sport.
Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and student welfare.
Desirable
Experience working in an independent or high-achieving school environment.
Coaching qualifications or experience in competitive school sport.
Willingness to contribute to trips, Duke of Edinburgh, or outdoor learning initiatives.
