Teacher of Design Technology – Outstanding School – Harrow

A permanent, full-time Design & Technology Teacher is sought by an Outstanding-rated School in Harrow, starting January 2026. This is a superb role in an innovative department with state-of-the-art facilities; the school is specifically seeking a specialist in either Food, Textiles, Resistant Materials, or Product Design.

Responsibilities

  • The Design & Technology Teacher will deliver rigorous practical and theoretical tuition across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE), and 5 (A-Level).
  • The teacher is responsible for driving high attainment and promoting advanced skills in their area of specialism (Food, Textiles, Resistant Materials, or Product Design).
  • They must contribute to the maintenance of equipment and safety programmes relevant to their specialism.
  • The Design & Technology Teacher is expected to contribute to consistent high academic outcomes and participate proactively in curriculum planning.

Requirements

  • Holds or is soon to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has the right to work in the UK.
  • Holds a Degree or has experience teaching Design & Technology, with a specialism in Food, Textiles, Resistant Materials, or Product Design.
