Teacher of Geography – Independent School – Islington

A superb opportunity for a Geography Teacher has arisen at a renowned Independent School in Islington, starting January 2026. This permanent, full-time role contributes to a distinguished Humanities faculty known for exceptional academic scholarship.

About the School

The School is a vibrant, successful independent school (Years 7-13) with a strong reputation for academic excellence. Responsibilities

  • The Geography Teacher will deliver rigorous instruction across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE/iGCSE), and 5 (A-Level).
  • The teacher is responsible for driving high attainment and promoting critical engagement with human and physical geography concepts.
  • They must lead all required fieldwork programmes and contribute to the school's commitment to environmental awareness.
  • The Geography Teacher is expected to contribute to consistent high academic outcomes, particularly for competitive university applications.

Requirements

  • Holds or is soon to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has the right to work in the UK.
  • Holds a Degree or has experience teaching Geography.
