ECT: Maths Teacher – Start Your Career in a Nurturing, Well-Resourced Independent Prep School – Birmingham (Independent)

A highly nurturing and well-resourced independent school in Birmingham is seeking an ECT of Mathematics (Year 1 or 2) to join their School faculty from January 2026.

  • ECT: Mathematics Teacher required from January 2026
  • Birmingham-based independent school with a nurturing and well-rounded ethos
  • Ideal for a graduate seeking structured mentoring and a focus on foundational numerical fluency at the Primary/Early Secondary level.

You will teach Maths across KS3&4, focusing on preparing pupils for their GCSEs and development into A Level. You will receive a reduced timetable and an intensive mentoring programme. The role involves contributing to the Maths Challenge club.

Experience and Qualifications

  • QTS (or equivalent) or completing final training in Mathematics
  • High commitment to nurturing and engaging younger pupils with numerical concepts
  • Proficiency in Maths pedagogy
  • Willingness to fully engage with the school's structured mentorship and CPD cycle
