History Teacher – Cheshire – January 2026
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a History Teacher to join a high-achieving 11–18 secondary school in Cheshire from January 2026. The Humanities faculty is one of the school’s strengths, with a well-established History department that fosters curiosity, debate and independent thinking. The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3–5, delivering engaging lessons that bring historical topics to life and develop critical understanding.
The Role & Department
- Teach History across Key Stages 3–5 (A-Level experience desirable).
- Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment and resource development.
- Inspire students through creative, enquiry-based learning.
- Join a department with modern classrooms, digital displays and access to a well-stocked Humanities library.
Fieldwork, museum visits, and academic enrichment trips play an important part in the department’s work, with recent projects exploring local heritage and international conflict studies.
About You
You will bring:
- QTS or equivalent qualification in History or related discipline.
