The Year 5 Teacher role — what you will do
The Year 5 Teacher will design and deliver ambitious sequences that develop reasoning in mathematics, deepen reading comprehension and build confident, independent writers. The Year 5 Teacher will use assessment to identify next steps, run targeted interventions and prepare pupils for the demands of upper KS2 and transition preparation. The Year 5 Teacher will join leadership-led moderation and contribute to whole-school projects beginning in January 2026.

Candidate profile — Year 5 Teacher
We seek a proven Year 5 Teacher with QTS, strong KS2 experience and evidence of outcomes. The Year 5 Teacher should demonstrate excellent classroom management, strong subject knowledge and a collaborative approach. The Year 5 Teacher will be expected to start pre-term planning ahead of January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach as a Full-Time Year 5 Teacher from January 2026.
