History Teacher – Cultivate Intellectual Curiosity and Lead Advanced A-Level Scholarship – Waltham Forest

A highly academic secondary school in Waltham Forest is recruiting a dedicated and experienced History Teacher with expertise in British and European modern history from January 2026.

  • History Teacher required from January 2026

  • Seeking a specialist in 19th and 20th Century studies to lead KS5 modules.

You will teach History across KS3-KS5, with a significant timetable commitment to A-Level. The role requires depth of subject knowledge and the ability to prepare students for top university applications, focusing on rigorous source analysis and extended essay writing.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in History (MA/PhD highly desirable).
  • Proven ability to secure high grades at A-Level History.

  • Willingness to mentor students through the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification).
