Drama Teaching Opportunity - Creative School - York

A creative secondary school in York seeks a full-time Drama & Theatre Teacher from January 2026. The successful candidate will teach Drama across KS3 and KS4, plus lead performances/extracurricular theatre activities.
• Drama & Theatre Teacher required from January 2026
• Full-time post in York
• Teach Drama across KS3/KS4 plus performance-based projects

This is for someone imaginative, energetic, who enjoys not only classroom teaching but building confidence through performance arts and stage work.

Experience and Qualifications
• QTS with Drama / Performing Arts specialism
• Experience in secondary settings, directing or running productions a plus
• Confident in managing rehearsals, theatre space, and student performance projects
• Right to work in UK

School Information
The school has a strong arts reputation in its area though is not one of the grammar-/selective-type schools, so many students benefit from its inclusive approach.

Salary
Paid to scale (MPS/UPS), depending on experience.
