An Outstanding primary in Birmingham seeks an experienced and ambitious Year 6 Teacher to lead an upper KS2 class on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. This Full-Time Year 6 Teacher post provides an opportunity to prepare pupils for transition to secondary school with rigour and care: the Year 6 Teacher will join pre-term planning before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and be fully teaching from January 2026 as a Full-Time Year 6 Teacher.
Role overview — Year 6 Teacher
As the Year 6 Teacher, you will design motivating revision and curriculum units, develop pupils’ critical thinking and independent writing, and lead assessment cycles. The Year 6 Teacher will manage SATs preparation where required, run targeted boosters and support pastoral transition programmes. From January 2026, the Year 6 Teacher will work closely with senior leaders, contribute to whole-school improvement and participate in moderation across the phase.

from January 2026.
