Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities
• The Year 2 Teacher will plan and deliver high-quality Year 2 lessons including phonics, guided reading and number work.
• The Year 2 Teacher will assess pupils, run timely interventions and liaise with parents as the Year 2 Teacher.
• The Part-Time Year 2 Teacher will attend phase meetings, CPD and moderation sessions scheduled around the January 2026 start.
Year 2 Teacher Requirements
• QTS and recent KS1 experience as a Year 2 Teacher.
• Strong phonics practice and calm classroom management expected of the Year 2 Teacher.
• A collaborative Year 2 Teacher who will engage in planning and training prior to the January 2026 start and during January 2026 as a Part-Time colleague.
