RE Teacher – Northamptonshire – January 2026
An ambitious and welcoming 11–18 school in Northamptonshire is seeking a thoughtful and inspiring Teacher of Religious Education to join its Humanities faculty from January 2026.
The school promotes a curriculum that nurtures curiosity, compassion and respect — RE plays a central role in that mission. Students explore philosophical, moral and ethical questions through lively discussion, debate and research, developing critical thinking and empathy.
The Humanities wing includes dedicated classrooms, a shared resources hub and quiet spaces for reflection and discussion. Staff work closely together to link RE with PSHE and Citizenship, creating a cohesive, values-driven programme that supports both academic and personal development.
Students here are enthusiastic, articulate and respectful, and behaviour is excellent. The department’s popular “Philosophy Café” and termly speaker series invite guest academics and faith leaders to engage students in real-world dialogue.
You’ll bring:
- QTS or equivalent qualification with strong subject knowledge
- A reflective, inclusive approach to teaching
- Confidence in leading thoughtful, structured discussions
- Commitment to contributing to enrichment and community events
In return, the school offers a positive, supportive atmosphere, extensive professional development opportunities and a strong wellbeing culture.
If you’re a passionate RE Teacher who values debate, reflection and real connection, please submit your CV to apply.
