Chemistry ECT Opportunity at a Leading School in Reading

A highly regarded 11–18 secondary school in Reading, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, is seeking a Chemistry ECT to join their exceptional Science Department on a full-time, permanent basis from January 2026.

About the Role

The appointed ECT will teach Chemistry across KS3–KS5, delivering lessons that combine rigorous scientific content with creative, hands-on experimentation. They will be supported by an experienced mentor and a strong departmental team, ensuring a smooth transition into the profession.

The successful teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons, assist in practical demonstrations, and encourage students to connect chemistry with real-world applications such as environmental science, healthcare, and sustainability.

Experience and Qualifications

  • QTS/PGCE and degree in Chemistry or related discipline
