Geography Teacher – Lead Challenging Fieldwork in Physical & Environmental Geography – Manchester

An ambitious secondary school in Manchester, requires a highly capable Geography Teacher with a focus on environmental and physical geography from January 2026.

  • Geography Specialist required from January 2026
  • Manchester-based school with an emphasis on practical fieldwork and environmental issues.
  • Ideal for a teacher dedicated to challenging fieldwork (e.g., fluvial/glacial) and environmental policy.

You will teach Geography across KS3–KS5 (GCSE/A-Level), utilizing the unique environment of the North West for challenging fieldwork opportunities. The role involves designing a rigorous curriculum that emphasizes data analysis, GIS skills, and engaging students with critical environmental issues.

Experience and Qualifications

  • QTS and a degree in Geography or a closely related environmental field.
  • Proven experience teaching A-Level Geography is highly desirable.
  • Experience in safely organizing and leading fieldwork (local or residential).
  • Commitment to maintaining a stimulating and rigorous classroom.
