Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching to a Year 1 class in line with the National Curriculum
• Take on middle leadership responsibilities, contributing to curriculum development or leading a key subject area
• Support and mentor colleagues to share best practice and raise standards across Key Stage 1
• Use effective assessment to monitor and enhance pupil progress and attainment
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment where all pupils thrive
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure consistent support for learning and wellbeing
• Play an active role in the wider life of the school, including staff meetings, events, and professional development

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
• Demonstrable leadership skills or experience leading a subject or initiative

• Strong communication, organisational, and mentoring abilities
