French Teacher (ECTs Welcome) – Secondary Academy in Birmingham
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a French Teacher to join a high-achieving academy in Birmingham. This is a full-time position starting in January, suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers seeking a supportive environment to complete their induction.

This is an ideal role for an Early Career Teacher looking to launch their teaching career in a modern languages department with a proven record of success. French is a popular subject at both GCSE and A-Level, with recent GCSE results showing 74% of pupils achieving grades 5 and above, and A-Level results consistently exceeding national averages. As an ECT, you will benefit from reduced teaching commitments in your first year, weekly mentor sessions, and structured CPD designed to build confidence in the classroom.
Requirements
• Qualified French Teacher with QTS (or pending QTS for ECTs)
• Ability to teach French across KS3–KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential for ECTs)
• Enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to delivering engaging lessons
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• Legal right to work in the UK
