History Teacher (ECTs Welcome) – Secondary Academy in the West Midlands
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a History Teacher to join a high-performing secondary academy in Smethwick. This full-time position will begin in January and is open to Early Career Teachers looking for a supportive school to complete their induction years.

This is an ideal role for an Early Career Teacher looking to begin their career in a collaborative and well-resourced Humanities department. The school has a proven track record of supporting ECTs, offering weekly mentor meetings, reduced teaching timetables during induction, and access to high-quality CPD. History is a strong and popular subject, with recent GCSE results showing 76% of pupils achieving grades 5 and above, and A-Level History achieving 82% A*–C.
Requirements
• History Teacher with QTS or pending QTS (suitable for ECTs)
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young historians
• Enthusiastic, well-organised and keen to learn from experienced colleagues
• Legal right to work in the UK
