Spanish Teacher – Independent School in Greater Birmingham Area
An opportunity has arisen for a talented Spanish Teacher to join a growing independent day school in Greater Birmingham area. This is a full-time role beginning in January, teaching across KS3–KS5 (GCSE and A-Level Spanish). The successful candidate will join a modern Languages department with a strong emphasis on cultural enrichment and academic achievement.

Spanish is a popular and successful subject at the school. In 2023, 76% of GCSE candidates achieved grades 7–9, while 82% of A-Level pupils secured A*–B. Pupils benefit from small class sizes, tailored support, and opportunities to experience immersion through language exchanges, cultural visits to Spain, and links with partner schools abroad.
Requirements
• Qualified Spanish Teacher with QTS (PGCE, QTLS or equivalent considered)
• Ability to teach Spanish at GCSE and A-Level (knowledge of French or another language desirable but not essential)
• Excellent subject knowledge and commitment to high standards of teaching
• Passion for language, culture and international education
• Legal right to work in the UK
