English Teacher – Independent Catholic Day School
- English Teacher required to work full-time from January 2026
- Co-educational 11–18 independent day school in Warwickshire
- Join a well-resourced English department in a school known for strong pastoral care
We are seeking an English Teacher to join a respected independent Catholic school in the Warwickshire area. You will teach English Language and Literature across KS3 & KS4, with potential to contribute at A-Level depending on experience. The English department is collaborative, well-supported, and part of a school committed to excellence in both academic and personal development. This role is open to experienced teachers, ECTs, and suitably qualified overseas applicants with recognised teaching credentials and QTS (or equivalent). Please forward your CV to be considered for this opportunity.
School Information
- The school is a Catholic, co-educational independent day school serving around 900 pupils aged 11–18, with approximately 200 in the Sixth Form
- The school combines academic rigour with strong pastoral care and a “spirit of family” ethos, emphasising moral values, individual growth, and a supportive community
- The site is set in beautiful countryside surroundings, and includes historic architecture (the school occupies the former Benedictine priory) blended with modern teaching facilities
- The school has recently expanded and improved facilities—for example, it has built a state-of-the-art science centre with multiple laboratories (though for science, this indicates the school’s commitment to investment in infrastructure)
- Academically, the school prides itself on value-added performance: students with more challenging academic profiles often exceed expectations, while high achievers are stretched and challenged
- The English department benefits from modern classrooms and resources; the school supports a broad, knowledge-rich curriculum and provides opportunities for enrichment such as debating, creative writing, and performance project
