Responsibilities
- Teach engaging lessons in History and/or Geography (depending on specialism) across KS3 and KS4, inspiring curiosity in the school's able pupil base.
- Facilitate pupils in developing strong research skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly, preparing them for future A-Level study.
- Contribute to the department’s success in achieving excellent academic outcomes and driving high standards of pupil attainment.
- Organise and lead co-curricular activities, such as debate clubs or historical societies.
- Work collaboratively within the faculty, supporting the school's commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant degree in History, Geography, or a combined Humanities subject.
- Proven experience teaching up to Key Stage 4 (GCSE) with a commitment to rigour and high expectations.
- Exceptional communication skills and a desire to work with highly motivated pupils.
