An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Music to join an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ mixed secondary school in Somerset. The successful candidate will teach Music across KS3–KS5, delivering inspiring lessons that nurture creativity, technical ability, and performance skills. Key Responsibilities
Teach engaging and high-quality Music lessons across KS3–KS5.
Inspire students to develop confidence in performance, composition, and music theory.
Track and assess student progress, providing clear feedback and support.
Contribute to the continued development of a broad and ambitious Music curriculum.
Support enrichment activities such as choirs, ensembles, school concerts, and productions.
Maintain high expectations of student participation, behaviour, and achievement.

About You
A degree in Music or a closely related subject.
QTS (PGCE or equivalent) with the ability to teach KS3–KS5.
Strong subject knowledge and passion for music-making.
