School Information
This independent co-educational day and boarding school educates around 300 pupils aged 3–16, with boarding available from Year 3 upwards. Located on a mature 85-acre estate just outside Ludlow, the school offers a unique rural setting with modernised facilities, including refurbished science labs, ICT suites, and specialist classrooms. The small size ensures excellent pupil–teacher ratios and the ability to give every child individual attention.
Academic outcomes are consistently strong. In 2023, over 90% of Year 11 pupils achieved grades 9–4 in English, with many moving on to selective Sixth Forms and further study at top independent and grammar schools. The English department plays a central role in school life, with enrichment opportunities including debating clubs, drama productions, and public speaking competitions.
The school community is warm and inclusive, with a strong focus on developing character and resilience alongside academic success. Staff benefit from small classes, a collaborative working environment, and opportunities to be involved in the wider life of the school, from co-curricular activities to boarding support.
