About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a prestigious Grammar School in Cambridge. You will teach English Language and Literature across KS3–KS5, helping students to excel academically while nurturing creativity, communication, and a love of literature.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with highly motivated and talented learners in a selective school setting. The successful candidate will also contribute to enrichment activities such as debating, creative writing, and theatre productions, which are central to the school’s cultural life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver English Language and Literature across KS3–KS5.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Contribute to enrichment activities such as debating, drama, and writing clubs.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to raise attainment.
- Collaborate on curriculum innovation and departmental projects.

The school has approximately 1,100 students, including 300 in the sixth form, and consistently achieves excellent results in English. About You:
- A degree in English or a related subject.
- A formal teaching qualification with QTS (PGCE or equivalent).
- Experience teaching English to KS5 desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
