About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate, innovative, and ambitious Maths Teacher to join the Mathematics Department of a leading Grammar School in Chelmsford, recently judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire highly motivated and academically selective students across KS3, KS4, and KS5, nurturing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and fostering problem-solving and analytical skills.
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in preparing pupils for GCSE and A-Level success, with many going on to study Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and related disciplines at top universities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver inspiring and challenging Mathematics lessons across KS3–KS5.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum and selective school standards.
- Prepare students rigorously for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring excellent outcomes.
- Contribute to enrichment programmes such as the UKMT Maths Challenge, Further Maths clubs, and Oxbridge mentoring.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing effective feedback and targeted intervention.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and departmental resources.

About You:
- A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
- A formal teaching qualification with QTS (PGCE or equivalent).
