Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities
· Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of Year 1 pupils
· Implement effective teaching strategies to inspire and motivate learners
· Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
· Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and share best practice
· Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
· Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support pupils’ learning
· Participate fully in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
Year 1 Teacher Requirements
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
· Experience teaching Year 1 in a primary school setting
· Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse pupil needs
· Commitment to continuous professional development
· Flexible, reflective, and collaborative approach to teaching
