Design Technology ECT Opportunity – Ambitious School in Reading

A thriving secondary school in Reading is seeking an enthusiastic Design Technology ECT to join their dynamic department from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity ideal for an Early Career Teacher who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive and high-achieving environment. The successful candidate will teach DT across KS3–KS4 and contribute to the school’s innovative approach to technical education.

• Full-time, permanent DT ECT role starting January 2026

Experience and Qualifications
• PGCE in Design Technology with QTS (or due to be awarded QTS by January 2026)
• Knowledge of specialist areas such as Product Design, Graphics, or Resistant Materials desirable
• Strong subject knowledge with a passion for engaging students in technical learning
• Commitment to continuous professional development and teamwork
• Legal right to work in the UK
