About the Role
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils at a pivotal stage in their learning journey. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, well-structured lessons tailored to meet the needs of your class.
- Teaching the full Year 2 curriculum and preparing pupils for end-of-KS1 assessments.
- Creating a warm, inclusive classroom where every child feels safe, supported, and challenged.
- Monitoring and assessing progress to inform next steps in learning.
- Collaborating with colleagues and support staff to raise attainment across the year group.
- Building strong relationships with parents and carers to enhance home learning.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
- Strong knowledge of the Year 2 national curriculum and assessment expectations.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A creative, reflective, and organised approach to teaching.
- Commitment to inclusion, high standards, and continuous professional growth.
