An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join a well-regarded secondary school in Gloucester from January 2026. This is a key leadership position that will give the successful candidate the chance to shape the school’s SEND provision and make a lasting impact on the outcomes of young people.
Key Details
• Full-time, permanent SENCO role starting January 2026
• Secondary school in Gloucester with strong inclusion and pastoral care
• Senior responsibility with scope to shape and lead whole-school SEND strategy
Experience and Qualifications
• Qualified teacher with QTS and NASENCO qualification (or willingness to work towards it)
• Strong track record of working with students with SEND in a secondary setting
• Ability to lead and inspire a team of specialist staff
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with families and external agencies
• Commitment to inclusive education and raising achievement for all learners
• Legal right to work in the UK
